DigiElch Licenses - Overview
Starting in May 2009 we have stopped distributing DigiElch
4.5 to new users because of some problems caused by the protection system used in
this version. Existing users of DigiElch 4.5 should contact
us if they still need support or if they want to continue working with DigiElch
4.0. The latter differs only in the protection system but is functionally identical
with DigiElch 4.5.
DigiElch 4.0
licenses are available in the
following three
different Installation/License Types:
1. Installation Type DigiElch 4.0
License Type: annual
Activation: automatic activation via Internet, no assistance of
the user required.
Requirements: computer with Internet access not only for installing
but also for running the program.
Benefits: the license can be shared between two different computers.
It is also possible to move the license to another computer during the activation
period whenever required.
Drawbacks: the computer running DigiElch 4.0 must be connected
to the Internet to keep the program activated. Disconnected from the Internet it
will stop working after about 4 days but will continue working as soon as it is
re-connected to the Internet.
Trial Installation: available
2. Installation Type
DigiElch 4.M
License Type: annual
Activation: manual activation by the user.
Requirements: a(nother) computer with Internet or e-mail access
for installing the program.
Benefits: the computer running DigiElch 4.M does not require Internet
access.
Drawbacks: the license is linked to the hardware of one particular
computer. It cannot be moved or used on another one during the activation period
of the program.
Trial Installation: not available. Use DigiElch 4.0 for testing
the program in trial mode and continue working with DigiElch 4.M after having purchased
a license.
3. Installation Type
DigiElch 4.F
License Type: full versionl
(no time limitation)
Activation: Dongle protected. No activation required.
Requirements:
a computer with USB port for connecting the dongle.
Benefits: the program can be installed and used on many different
computers (but not simulataneously). Simply connect the dongle to the USB port of
the computer supposed to run the program.
Drawbacks: delivery by regular mail.
Trial Installation: not available. Use DigiElch 4.0 for testing
the program in trial mode and continue working with DigiElch 4.F after having purchased
a license.
